Shatavari, Asparagus racemosus (A. racemosus)

A traditional herb that has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine. A member of the Liliaceae or Asparagus family. Especially well known for strengthening the reproductive system taken daily as a tonic for all genders. 

This herb can help balance hormones through all different periods of life, from menses to menopause and promotes fertility. May help to reduce pain during menses. Recent studies have shown that Shatavari may decrease menopausal symptoms as well. 

It is also said to increase libido, for it is a natural aphrodisiac. 

Shatavari is a demulcent herb, soothing to various body systems and mucus membranes. Nourishing and rejuvenating for dry membranes. 


As a nutritive tonic herb, this herb can be taken in tea, tincture, glycerite, or powder added into your daily routine. 


Ingredients

  • Organic glycerin, distilled water, and dried Shatavari root (Asparagus racemosus).
