I think combining the scent of our new Carrot Essential Oil and our already fabulous Frankincense Essential Oil is a match made in heaven. Throwing in just a hint of Geranium Essential Oil makes the original combination come alive. Mother nature's balance and perfection is obvious in this combination because these oils are all very supportive and soothing for the skin.
It's important to dilute essential oils before applying to the skin. In aromatherapy the liquid agents used to dilute essential oils are called carriers. My favorite carrier is Aloe Gel because it is not greasy but the common suggested carriers for essential oils are vegetable & nut oils including Almond, Apricot Kernel, Sesame Sunflower and Jojoba Oils. Here are some recipe ideas:
Moisturizing Treatment Blend (could also be a cleanser or makeup remover)
15 drops Carrot Seed Essential Oil
10 drops Frankincense Essential Oil
5 drops Geranium Essential Oil
2 Tablespoons Carrot Seed Infused Oil
2 Tablespoons Almond Oil
Shake well
Daytime Face Moisturizer
3 drops Carrot Seed Essential Oil
3 drops Palmarosa Essential Oil
1 drops Lavender Essential Oil
¾ teaspoon Jojoba Oil
2 Tablespoons Aloe Gel
Shake well but will separate so shake before every use too.
Sometimes I just simplify by adding one or two drops of essential oils in my hand to which I then add one of our skin care products like Marshmallow Emollient, Native Skin Tonic or Ozark Skin Tonic or just plain Ozark Oil. I choose these because they are already lightly scented and allow for additional essential oils to be added. You can then rub your hands together and apply where desired.
I have battled eczema for years and have used Carrot Essential Oil and all of the above essential oils at different times for my problem areas. My favorite carrier for this use is our Ozark Oil. Sometimes I just use Ozark Oil alone and sometimes I add essential oils with it.

Other Carrot Oil Products:
Note from Cheryl about our Carrot Seed Essential Oil: We now have a new Carrot Seed Oil. It smells like no other Carrot Oil I have smelled in the past. Our producer says, "This is the best Carrot Seed Oil in the world. In the first place, the starting material is superior to the typical carrot seed that would come from India. Secondly, the oil is distilled in stainless steel under reduced pressure so the final product is higher in alcohols and lower in sequiterpenes and monoterpenes and there is also less degradation under these milder conditions. A harsh and quick steam distillation is what typically gives Carrot Seed Oil that "dirty" odor. Analytically the oil is also very good from a chemical standpoint with high caratol, geraniol, geranyl acetate as well as other nice esters which give it its fruitiness."
