Many people have great success managing asthma using natural remedies. Astragalus, Ginkgo, Licorice, Turmeric & Frankincense Essential Oil are some of the herbs and oils to be discussed. Cheryl will give practical tips on usage, ideas for prevention and suggestions for reducing ill effects of long-term prescription use. Feedback from users include a wide range of benefits including improving quality of life and reducing the common side effects of conventional treatments. AROMATHERAPY CERTIFICATION COURSE

AROMA 101: FOUNDATIONS

SUNDAYS,  Starting SEPTEMBER 28, 2008

2:00-5:00 pm & 6:30-9:30 pm

Classes will be every Sunday starting, September 28, for 5 Sundays in a row.

Last class will be on October 26.

30 Continuing Education Hours are available for massage therapists. This 40-hour course is offered by The East-West School for Herbal and Aromatic Studies and will be taught by Cheryl Hoard. Cost is $450, which includes a set of 20 essential oils (2 ml size) and course manual. Payment deadline: September 19.

AROMA 201: MASTERS APPRENTICESHIP

WEEKENDS,  Starting NOVEMBER 7,8,9, 2008    FRIDAY, SAT, SUN

56 Continuing Education Hours are available for massage therapists. This 300-hour advanced course is offered by The East-West School for Herbal and Aromatic Studies and will be taught by Cheryl Hoard. Cost is $1,800, which includes course manual, required book & all supplies needed for live classes. $1000 due by October 24 and $800 due by February 6, 2009.

AROMATHERAPY CERTIFICATION

DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAM

For those interested in doing study on an independent basis, the East-West School of Herbal and Aromatic Studies provides both Aroma 101:Foundations and Aroma 201: Masters Apprenticeship as distance learning programs. Assistance is available through scheduled or unscheduled phone consultations with instructor, Cheryl Hoard. Cheryl's Herbs offers support and assistance by extending a 10% discount off all products at the shop or by mail order during the period of study.

Aroma 101: Foundations
Cost: $450 includes course manual and set of 20 essential oils (2ml size)

Aroma 201: Masters Apprenticeship
Cost: $900 includes course manuals and required reading book

Both 101 and 201 distance courses
Cost: $1225 (savings of $125) if you register for both together

You can attend a class with a group of like-minded adults

or sign up for an individual session about a topic of your choice.

Topics may range from an introduction to aromatherapy to the chemistry of essential oils or just something fun like how to make bath salts, body blends, natural perfume and skin care products. You may choose a health topic of interest to you like depression, anxiety, colds & flu, stress etc. We can also assist with research projects. For a small additional fee, sessions may also include making a blend for you to take home!
